Video Series

Abstract: The Art of Design
Abstract focuses on influential designers and artists who’ve made an impact in their respective fields. I haven’t come across a series that beyond simply showcasing the talents of the featured artists, also explores the impact that design has on our daily lives, from the products we use to the spaces we inhabit and what it entails to lead a life as a creative.

Modern Love
A visual treat for all hopeless romantics, Modern Love explores different forms of love and relationships, including romance love, parental love, platonic love, and self-love. The Alchemist – Paulo Coelho
This book has been a personal bible, guide, and confidant. It suggests that everything in the universe is connected, and that by following our personal legends and destiny, we contribute to the greater good of humanity. The use of allegory and symbolism adds depth to the story, allowing people to interpret the book’s messages in their own unique way.

The Divine Matrix – Gregg Braden
This book explores one of my most favorite subjects – science of spirituality and its implication on our universe. Braden draws upon a variety of scientific disciplines, including quantum physics, biology, and neuroscience, to support his claims about this field called the ‘divine matrix’ which is the fundamental building block of reality and is responsible for shaping our lives and experiences. He also incorporates ancient spiritual traditions and practices from around the world, showing how they are consistent with modern scientific theories.

The Outlier – Malcom Gladwell
Gladwell challenges readers to think differently about success and achievement, suggesting that it is not just a matter of individual talent and hard work, but also the circumstances and opportunities, cultural background, family upbringing, and access to opportunities that play a part in shaping the trajectory of one’s life. Makes you look at your own life’s design and what contributed to the path you’re on and where you’re headed.

Digital Creators

Takiisbranding – Bruno Caesar
A Brazilian visual artist with stunning digital artwork. Every piece has heavy influence of surrealism and captures stories and powerful moments in little frames.

Cult Class
Another digital artist with surrealism, she superimposes magic in little moments and everyday things and pulls you into another dimension altogether.

Very retro, sci-fi and synth-wave aesthetic, this digital creator also includes VFX and motion animation along with music to create absolutely stunning visual imagery.

Music Artists

God is an Astronaut
An Irish post-rock band, their sound is characterized by atmospheric, instrumental rock music that incorporates elements of post-rock, shoegaze, and electronic music. Their music is very cinema’c evoking a sense of grandeur and drama. If you need inspiration or just music to think out loud to, give them a listen.

An Indian post rock band, Aswekeepsearching’s music often deals with themes of introspection, self-discovery, and the search for meaning and purpose in life. They’ve managed to blend Indian classical music with post-rock and shoegaze to create an extraterrestrial sound stirring buried emotions within you.

An Indie-rock band with ethereal soundscapes, and intricate instrumentation. It’s often the music I paint to. There’s something about their music arrangement that evokes the subconscious mind.
